Disclaimer: Several months after this job was finished, I found out that the company,
Ultima Travel, was doing a few things illegally.
There have been people who have read my resume who have let me know that it may
not be in my best interest to include this job in this resume. I
learned a great deal on this job,
it was my first computer related job after taking 21/2 years at home
schooling myself
on computer, I cleaned house 2 or 3 three times a week to keep food in the
house, as a single mom
while raising a teenager . I felt this job was a gift and though it was
only 7 months,
I was able to continue my computer education with good pay and I feel that
what I learned
was valuable enough to include in the resume even at risk. I was not aware
of any illegal
issues connected with the job. Although I know that I do not fill out
sweepstakes offers in malls etc. anymore. And I am not real fond of
telemarketers. I certainly am not of the character to
have remained for those months if I had noticed
anything shady happening. The man who hired me and supervised me was
not among those who were found guilty. Not one of my crew was shady, they
were all hard working decent people. In fact, one gal was a special person
with data input skills and another was in a wheel chair. As I said, I am better educated
because of it and have no regrets for the time spent managing this database
& crew.
